Unravel: Festival of knitting

Want to learn knitting or crochet this year? Then Unravel in Surrey is the festival for you.

We can’t wait for February here at Simply Homemade HQ. Not only is it the month of love (we’re planning our Valentine’s craft ideas already!), but Unravel, the international festival of knitting, is back for the fifth year in a row.

Taking place in Farnham Maltings in Surrey, the event – taking place between the 23rd and 24th – will see lots of workshops put on, as well as talks, art exhibitions and all sorts of demonstrations, which all sound very inspiring indeed.

You can now book places for workshops online, with classes including learning to crochet, making a needle felt hare, steeking and cutting knitting, circles and squares and filet crochet. Drop-in workshops will also be put on, a swell as children’s classes on the Sunday – it really will be fun for all the family!

What a great opportunity to build up your knitting stash, learn some new techniques and discover all sorts of great artists. We hope to see you there!
